Routine Hydropower Operation & Maintenance

  • Reservoir Management & Forecasting.
  • Turbine functional checks and inspection.
  • Turbine bearing lubrication and inspection.
  • Gearbox inspection.
  • Gearbox oil condition analysis and oil changes.
  • Gearbox bearing inspection and lubrication.
  • Drive belt inspection and replacement.
  • Drive coupling inspection.
  • Generator inspection.
  • Generator bearing inspection and lubrication.
  • Hydraulic system inspection.
  • Air gap and Partial discharge monitoring.
  • Hydraulic system oil condition analysis and oil changes.
  • Check all sensors operate correctly.
  • Check controller functions correctly.
  • Inspection of intake area, impounding structures, pipeline, sluice(s).
  • Inspection of cooling system (heat exchanger, water pumps).
  • Inspection of Drainage and sump pump system
  • Visual inspection and record temperature & oil tank of main transformer.
  • Inspection of switch yard, switch gear, 22 KV transmission line, excitation, governor (control system, mechanical system and oil pump), power supply (AC, DC, battery and battery charger).
  • Seepage, leakage, crack and sediment monitoring.

Non-routine Hydropower Maintenance

  • Turbine & Generator shaft centering adjustment, installing & realignment
  • Gravitation welding of runner blade
  • Transformers (oil breakdown, oil purifier, minor overhaul, installation, insulation resistance measurement).
  • Oil or lubricant (oil filter and old replacement).
  • Generator annual inspection.
  • Circuit breaker annual inspection.
  • Control system (checking and repair or replacement all equipment / auxiliaries
  • Bearing replacement.
  • Changing drive couplings and belts, including realignment.
  • Sensor replacement and calibration.
  • Controller optimization / reprogramming.
  • Internal (endoscopic) inspections of turbines and gearboxes.
  • Major mechanical / electrical or civil engineering repairs and refurbishments.
  • Test, record and report of all auxiliary equipment
  • Pipeline pigging.
  • Pipeline external and internal inspections.
